RUSH: "A trio of Bucks County residents backed by the county Republican committee say they have evidence linking Democratic Congressman Patrick Murphy's campaign to a scheme to flood the county voter registration office with fraudulent applications for absentee ballots. In a petition filed Tuesday, county Republicans say the name of Murphy's campaign manager appeared on a Bristol post office box where voters were urged in a series of letters paid for by the state Democratic Committee to send absentee ballot applications." That's story number one in the "they cheat" stack.

Las Vegas: "Some voters in Boulder City complained on Monday that their ballot had been cast before they went to the polls, raising questions about Clark County's electronic voting machines. Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen. Harry Reid's name was already checked. Ferrara said she wasn't alone in her voting experience. She said her husband and several others voting at the same time all had the same thing happen. 'Something's not right,' Ferrara said. 'One person that's a fluke. Two, that's strange. But several within a five minute period of time -- that's wrong.' Clark County Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax said there is no voter fraud, although the issues do come up because the touch-screens are sensitive." Of course there's no voter fraud. Who would think that? With the SEIU in charge of the machines, who would think that there's no voter fraud? The Democrats know they don't stand a prayer this election unless they do cheat. The question is can they cheat enough to overcome the tidal wave that's happening on Tuesday. I don't believe they can.

The registrar of voters said basically what you have here is seasoned citizens having difficulty casting their ballot, reading the machines. Of course, ladies and gentlemen, stupid people, stupid old people, they're to blame. You oldsters, you are so hapless, probably gonna vote Republican anyway, you idiots. The very party claiming to be looking out for you, the very party claiming to have your best interests at heart, the very party denying you cost-of-living increases two years in a row in your Social Security, looking out for you by shafting your ballot and blaming your stupidity on the fact that you noticed.

"This year marks the first Illinois election that any registered voter can cast their ballot by mail, no excuses necessary. Even as the deadline for those ballots to be postmarked nears, problems are brewing." Well, who would think that? "An Illinois county election official is telling the ABC 7 I-Team that thousands -- potentially hundreds of thousands -- of voters who are expecting a ballot sent to them by mail may be disenfranchised. Chicagoan Rosia Carter is one of 404,000 registered Illinois voters who recently received vote-by-mail requests that were sent by the Illinois Democratic Coordinated Campaign. 'By the time I filled it out and sent it in, my vote would not get counted,' Carter said. ... The Lake County clerk received a shipment of 500 ballot requests from the IDCC Tuesday. By law, her office has two days to process the ballot requests. The problem is, Thursday is the deadline for election officials to get the ballots out." People are simply being denied the chance to vote in Illinois.

And from the Las Vegas Sun: The attorney for Sharron Angle says openly that Harry Reid "intends to steal this election if he can't win it outright." "So says Cleta Mitchell, the same woman who tried to get Scott Ashjian, the Tea Party of Nevada candidate out of the race, in an astonishing fundraising letter: As Sharron Angle's campaign attorney, I am sorry to report that the Democrats and their cronies are up to their same old tricks, of trying to manipulate the election in hopes of skewing the results in their favor. Two days ago, the Democratic Secretary of State announced that voters can be provided 'free food' at 'voter turnout events.' Harry Reid has been offering free food and, according to other reports, some Democratic allies such as teachers' unions are offering gift cards in return for a vote for Reid. Before we were even able to document the reported infractions to report to the authorities, the Democrat Secretary of State slammed the door shut on preventing this behavior and issued a public statement permitting these ACORN-style tactics. THESE are the kinds of shenanigans that can turn this race. Harry Reid intends to steal this election if he can't win it outright. As a result, we need to deploy literally dozens of election law attorneys and poll watchers to combat these tactics at a cost of nearly $80,000."

I don't know that they're gonna need that much. Ever since Maude Behar went on The View and called Sharron Angle a b-i-itch, the Angle campaign has received $137,000 and the amount just keeps being added to. The rage, the anger, the irrationality of the people on the left is becoming more and more obvious each and every day. And now free food and gift cards if you show up and vote for Harry Reid?

Here is more. This is Mark Hemingway in the Washington Examiner: "Clark County is where three quarters of Nevada's residents and live and where Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's son Rory is a county commissioner." That means that Harry Reid's son is the person in charge of overseeing the election machines that are being maintained by the SEIU. Now, why would Rory Reid be suspected of any shenanigans here? But he is. "Since early voting started, there have been credible reports that voting machines in Clark County, Nevada are automatically checking Harry Reid's name on the ballot." Well, it may be just a habit, but the fact is that it is happening. Now, we gotta be fair here. "Now there's absolutely no independently verified evidence of chicanery with the voting machines (yet), but it is worth noting that the voting machine technicians in Clark County are members of the Service Employees International Union. The SEIU spent $63 million in elections in 2008 and is planning on spending $44 million more this election cycle -- nearly all of that on Democrats."

The Investor's Business Daily with a commentary: "The president's home state gets a pass from the Justice Department on ensuring its soldiers overseas can vote." They're tampering again with the military vote. "An administration obsessed with gays in the military doesn't care about voting rights for GIs. You can call it a tragedy of errors, a perfect storm of incompetent and uncaring bureaucrats, or you can call it a deliberate attempt to steal what looks to be a close race for both governor and U.S. senator in President Obama's home state by disenfranchising its servicemen overseas, votes likely to tilt Republican. Consider that the Illinois primary was in February and that the deadline to print and mail ballots to soldiers fighting for democracy in places like Iraq and Afghanistan was Sept. 18 -- long enough, one would think, for even the slowest bureaucracy to do the job mandated under the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) act. A seven-month lead time apparently wasn't enough for the incompetent administration of Gov. Pat Quinn, successor to the walking reality TV show, Rod Blagojevich, to ensure that all counties get their ducks in a row. Quinn is coincidentally locked in a tough battle with Illinois state Sen. Bill Brady where military votes could be decisive."

Now, let's go back to Obama's lofty immaculation speech. He said, "As we consider the road that unfolds before us, we remember with humble gratitude those brave Americans who, at this very hour, patrol far-off deserts and distant mountains. They have something to tell us, just as the fallen heroes who lie in Arlington whisper through the ages. We honor them not only because they are guardians of our liberty, but because they embody the spirit of service: a willingness to find meaning in something greater than themselves. And yet, at this moment, a moment that will define a generation, it is precisely this spirit that must inhabit us all." Lofty rhetoric to be sure. But what is the reality of Obama's devotion to America's finest? Hundreds of thousands it appears will be denied the right to vote under his watch because their ballots will not be sent to them in time. It's not happening just in Illinois. It's happening in New York and several other states. There are no excuses.

Where is the commander-in-chief on this? I'll tell you where the commander-in-chief is. Obama has driven American civil rights into the ditch. That's what's in the ditch. That's what's in the swamp. American economic opportunity, American economic freedom, American economic prosperity, American civil rights have been driven in the ditch. And Obama's up on the street drinking a Slurpee, laughing at all of us trying to get our rights back on track, trying to get our economy back on track, trying to get economic opportunity back on track. He sips a Slurpee while driving all of that in the ditch, and he's laughing especially hard at those who would love to vote on Obama's agenda but can't thanks to his so-called Justice Department.

What should be done about this? Every election we hear about this, every election. I've got a whole stack here of stories about election fraud. I don't have one in which Republicans are being accused of it. Not one. I mean you would think that the Drive-Bys could make up one to try to balance it. I don't have one story of accused Republican vote fraud. Every story is about how Republicans are manning up a bunch of election lawyers and poll watchers to try to guard against the fraud that's already been uncovered by Democrats. Now, something has to be done about this. It's not enough to say in a country this large with this many people and this many elections there's going to be fraud, we can't totally wipe it out. That kinda attitude is not gonna get us anywhere. We may as well stop fighting crime, if that's the attitude. We're not going to stop it. I mean that's where we are with condoms for kids. "We can't stop them having sex so we gotta let 'em have abortions and condoms, Mr. Limbaugh." That's where we are. That's how we get cultural rot, defining deviancy down, simply saying, "Ah, we can't stop it." Something has to happen here.

Now, the Republicans are going to have a lot of power when they are sworn in next January. The real test is going to be how willing are they to use it in a moral and legal justified way. Do you realize all there is for Republicans to investigate, starting with the czars, who the hell are they, why are they, how much are they being paid, what kind of power do they have. This has to stop. The elections are becoming a joke before they even happen. Everybody knows that rampant cheating exists, everybody knows it's Democrats leading the way. It's unacceptable to disenfranchise military voters. It's unacceptable to have SEIU union thugs, the same kind of people that beat up black conservatives in Missouri at rallies for Carnahan. It's absurd to have them servicing the voting machines. Remember all of the complaints from the left about whoever owned the voting machines or made them in Ohio, Diebold, big Republican donors? How about the people servicing them? How about the people writing the software for them?

ACORN is a criminal enterprise funded with taxpayer money, just like we're funding NPR, just like we're funding Planned Parenthood. We are being ripped off; we're being cheated; we're being lied to; we're being steamrolled, and still we're going to wipe the slate clean with these people. The Republicans have a chance to be warriors for liberty. If they say, in the midst of all this, one word about compromise, bipartisanship, or a combination, to hell with them.

I got a story from The Hill's blog Briefing Room: "Republicans in Congress should look for opportunities to work with President Obama in the next two years, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) suggested Tuesday evening. Graham weighed in to the sustained debate within the GOP about how or whether the party, which is poised to make gains in Congress, should work with Democrats. On issues like Social Security, energy, and job creation, Graham said, Republicans should seize opportunities to work with the president, if for no other reason than to help move Obama toward the political center." To help move Obama to the center? He said, "My belief is that, if we get back power in the House, and get close in the Senate, that we ought to really clamp down on spending and reform the government. But we ought to not put ourself in a position of being the 'party of no' to hard problems." We damn well should be the party of "no" to socialism; the party of "no" to Obamaism. That's exactly what these elections on Tuesday are all about.

RUSH: You want to stop 80% of vote fraud, do two things: Require ID -- require photo ID at the ballot box like you have to provide it every other place you transact any business whatsoever -- and then get rid of early voting. It is... My God, what is it? It's the primordial soup just waiting for fraud. Early voting my rear end, which used to be ample. It isn't anymore. For crying out loud, you need a photo ID to buy antihistamine at the drugstore these days. Antihistamine! Photo ID to vote, get rid of early voting, and bammo! There's 80% of vote fraud fini and out the window.

RUSH: Let me illustrate for you just how essential vote fraud is to the Democrat Party. George Soros sank a lot of money into a project called the Secretary of State Project, starting in 2006. Have you ever heard of the Secretary of State Project? (interruption) That's why you're the screener and why I am the host. The Secretary of State Project had a goal, and the goal was to put as many Democrats into the offices of secretary of state in the states as possible because they're the ones who adjudicate all of the vote fraud cases. They are the ones who count the votes. The secretary of state. The secretary of state, in all of the states, is the guy or the woman who decide on claims of voter fraud.

This is how we got Al Franken as a Senator from Minnesota. A Democrat secretary of state determined the vote count, how it was going to happen, when it was gonna stop, what votes were valid and what votes weren't. You know where they got the idea for this? They got the idea for the Secretary of State Project shortly after the 2004 election when a bunch of Democrats thought they lost Ohio, thought that John Kerry lost Ohio because of Ken Blackwell, who was the Republican secretary of state in Ohio. Now, the haughty Kerry (who once served in Vietnam) lost Ohio by 55,000 votes, and they're running around saying, "Man, if he'd-a had those 55,000 votes, why, we'd-a won! We'd-a won! We'd-a won the election in 2004."

It reminded me of the Democrat convention in San Francisco 1984. I was sent out there to cover it. The radio station I was working for wanted to get me outta town and get off the air my commentary. So they sent me out there to do so-called coverage, and I went to a cocktail party, a Democrat bigwig cocktail party some hotel. Dick Gephardt was there from Missouri. I went up and said hi, accidentally had some food come out of my mouth when I was talking to him. I apologized for it, and I ran into... (interruption) It's not spit. You know how chicken fingers somehow you get some crumbs in there and you're speaking and pshew! it flies out of there like that? It's totally accidental. (interruption) I did not spit on Dick Gephardt! I did not spit. It was an accident.

It's like stage spit. You know what stage spit is? It's part of performing. You know, I was so excited to see Gephardt, that's what I told him, that I didn't swallow before starting to speak to him. He smiled. And after I ran into a Democrat Party bigwig from Sikeston, Missouri, 30 miles south of my hometown in Cape Girardeau. We're talking seriously about the election. This is the convention where they nominated Mondull. And this guy from Sikeston, a family friend of ours and a nice guy, actually said: "You spot me 75, a hundred electoral votes, I can win this election." I said, "Well, isn't that what it's all about? (laughing) Spot you 75 or a hundred electoral votes?" So John Kerry, with a 55,000 vote deficit blaming Ken Blackwell for it, the secretary of state.

So that's where the Secretary of State Project got started, and it was rigged. The founder is a bunch of Democrats and George Soros sunk a lot of money into this. They raised a total of, I think, $500,000 for the 2006 secretary of state candidates that they supported. Now, most Americans don't understand the importance of the secretary of state. I mean, what's a secretary of state? Most people don't know what Hillary does except get out of town during elections. Secretary of state generally... Most people think the secretary of state flies over and mediates disputes between the Israelis and Palestinians and goes to funerals. It's even less knowledge of what a state secretary of state does.

They have no clue. So, you know, people running for that office don't draw very much attention, not very many donations. Consequently, even a modest injection of cash into those races can elect and be the determining factor in who wins. And so this idea was to get as many Democrats in that position. Regardless who the governor was, regardless the state legislature, get a Democrat holding office as the secretary of state, and then charge vote fraud, do all kinds of things, and have that person be the one who determines the outcome. Now, this is a party. This indicates, illustrates how essential vote fraud is to the Democrat Party, and it's exactly how we ended up with Al Franken.

So keep a sharp eye on all -- and remember, now, what spawned it was not cheating. They just got the idea. Ken Blackwell refused to have recounts and some places. I forget what it was, but 55,000 votes in the state, that is not close but the Democrats thought they got the shaft in Ohio. What they really said was, "If the secretary of state had been a Democrat we might have been able to swing that state for Kerry and won the presidency." That's what they realized. So you people keep a sharp eye on secretary of state elections in your state and practically reflexively, automatically vote Republican in every damn one of them, regardless whatever else is going on in the state.

RUSH: Here's Patty in Naugatuck, Connecticut. It's great to have you on the EIB Network. Hi.

CALLER: Good afternoon, Rush. And thank you for taking my call.

RUSH: Yes, madam.

CALLER: Yesterday morning I was reading our newspaper and I came upon an editorial, and it's written by Kevin Hassett who's the director of economic policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute.

RUSH: Mmm-hmm.

CALLER: And he entitles his editorial, "Foreign Money Pours in on Left." Without going through the details, it is a very revealing article, lengthy, and the bottom line is this: Foreign money is being put into the unions, funneled into the unions, and it's making its way to the public activities. And, in fact, the unions received at least $46 million from foreign sources in 2008 alone. The money that goes into this union right now is totally without transparency in how it has been spent because the Obama administration repealed a T1 detailing which passes the unions fill out a report on transparency. So there's no transparency now on how this money is being spent.

RUSH: And this tells you what?

CALLER: This tells us that when they were talking about the Chamber of Commerce, this is the pot calling the kettle black. This is when legend becomes fact.

RUSH: Well, exactly. It's a good lesson. When the Democrats accuse us of something, odds are they're already doing it. Good lesson to learn there.
