Many Americans unaware that they are 'rich'
Joe Herring
Come January 1, the average household earning between $20 and $80 thousand dollars annually will see their Federal tax bill increase by roughly $175 a month. An average of a $2100 a year in reduced income for hundreds of millions of Americans, all because the Obama administration and a leftist Congress intend to allow the Bush-era "tax cuts for the rich" to expire on December 31st.
I may be an ordinary sort of fellow, but even I can state with certainty that a household earning less than $80,000 falls far short of my definition of "rich." For a family with a household income of say, $30k, they can expect to see their paychecks reduced by about $120 a month. For the upper end of the scale, we are talking the equivalent of a payment for an average new car, about $450 a month. Under any circumstances, it is wildly irresponsible to burden families that are already struggling.
We were assured repeatedly by then-candidate Obama that he wouldn't raise taxes on anyone earning less than $250k a year. That is technically a true statement. The administration is not raising taxes per se; they are simply allowing tax cuts to expire. Of course, the hit to our incomes is still the same, but at least the semantically minded in the administration have clear consciences.
Consumer spending accounts for about 70% of all spending. The idea that the economy will be in some way bolstered by the wholesale diminishment of purchasing power is intellectually negligent. But, we must remember, this is not about the economy, or even about consumers. It is about the fuel that runs the government. Money and power, and the greater accumulation of both. The expiration of the tax cuts will deliver more of each to the narcissistic gluttons on Capitol Hill, providing another means for yet further control of our personal decisions. It is a round-robin game, take money from the public, then offer to give some back in return for votes. The Mafia has a similar system, known as a "protection racket", except they go to jail for running it.
The Democrats in Congress refused to address the renewal of the tax cuts before the election recess. Already facing angry, motivated opposition, the last thing Democrats wanted was to provide another issue for surging Republican and conservative candidates. The fact that they refused to address the issue before the election is a clear indication that they do not intend to renew the cuts.
So what is a family to do? How many of us can absorb an unexpected expense equivalent to the purchase of a new car, or a houseful of furniture? Either purchase represents the functional equivalent of the tax increase we are staring in the face, thanks to our Democrat friends in Congress. November 2nd, we have our chance to respond. Vote them out, and deny them the fruits of their corrupt behavior.
But don't forget the good news here, whether you knew it or not, you must be "rich."

Congressional Re-Districting Is Driving Attempts At Voter Fraud Nation-Wide
From Big Government:

Redistricting Is Driving Attempts at Voter Fraudby Anita MonCrief
In the final days leading up to Tuesday’s critical vote, reports are making the rounds on the Internet that Democrats have acknowledged that they will lose the House of Representatives..
“[John] Kerry was touring Boston Medical Center and decided to enlighten everyone around him by laying his philosophy about the 2010 elections on everyone. This is what he said:
‘We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening,’
Exactly. A simple slogan like, oh I don’t know, ‘Yes We Can.’ Or maybe ‘Hope and Change.’”
Of course, the mainstream media continues to carry water for the Democrats. The question is: If the Democrats are so resigned to loosing, then what’s going on in Harris County, Texas? In recent days, tension in the county has been at a fever pitch as local Democrats spread fear and warn of voter intimidation. RedState reports that even the local Democrat party has gotten involved by posting an inflammatory message on its website. View the article for the screen shot.
“Notice the words in the first paragraph:
URGENT – THE TEA PARTY IS TRYING TO KEEP YOU FROM VOTING IN THIS ELECTION. DON’T LET THEM!
And further down in the message:
WE CANNOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS. WE FOUGHT TOO HARD FOR THE RIGHT TO VOTE TO LET A BUNCH OF BIGOTS AND THUGS TAKE IT AWAY FROM US NOW.
Nice, isn’t it. This is how the Dems are operating in Texas, folks. And contrary to what they are saying in the email above, it is the Dems who are intimidating Ms. Engelbrecht’s trained via -Texas- law poll watchers. They are even suing her.”
ACORN and groups like it are known for operating under the radar and rarely cause trouble in strict law enforcement states. For example, the Virginia chapter of ACORN in Virginia Beach, VA had several members arrested after one of their “typical shakedown protests.” So why mess with Texas? The answer lies on the website of the Soros and Rockerfeller funded America Votes. Click pictures to enlarge.

Voters in 35 states will determine which party will redraw congressional districts for the 2010 election and ultimately control Congress through 2022.
Following the 2000 census, Republican control of the last redistricting process in just five states – Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas – resulted in a 31-seat swing in Congress.“
Redistricting? Yes. While the Right is eyeing certain victory, it is being out-thought by the Left. Leftists have proven time and time again that they are willing to throw each other under the bus to protect long term interests. Voters need to look beyond the House and examine other key races.
Control of these state legislatures could be decided by just a few thousand voters.
The AV Redistricting Control Project is coordinating and supporting independent progressive and Democratic campaigns in crucial states where the power over redistricting will be determined in the 2010 elections.”
What states are they focusing on? The very same states that have reported massive amounts of ACORN-like voter registration fraud.

Reports from around the country have come in about Texas, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Florida. Things have been relatively quiet in Ohio and this should raise the alarm bells because the America Votes website says that Ohio is top priority. Maybe having the Soros funded Jennifer Brunner as Secretary of State helps.
America Votes encourages its members by pointing out how even a few small victories in key districts will aid the Democrats.

The website even contains a handy video that breaks down the project.

Harris County,Texas contains one-third the population for the state, and Sheila Jackson Lee’s district has been targeted just like this one from Ohio.

Where does Texas fit in? Why would Democrats go to such lengths as to file 59 unsubstantiated complaints against a citizens group that uncovered fraud? Review the screen shots below.

And let’s not forget Maria Isabel:
“You may have read that there is strong evidence of voter fraud in Houston. Here’s what you may not have heard: the organization accused of shady behavior is linked to a former head of an Obama campaign office. She is a fan of Che Guevara. She is also the person who invited to a town hall meeting a woman who then posed as a doctor at that meeting during the health care debate.”
If Houston Votes worked with Obama for America in 2007-2008 and given Houston Votes founder Fred Lewis and his prior partnerships with ACORN, a partnership with America Votes seems more than likely.

Time to face facts: the Left have always had a way of outsmarting the Right with ballot initiatives, catchy slogans and long term goals of world domination. America needs to wake up and stop counting on what could be an empty victory. The only way to defeat tyranny is to stand up and confront it. Every American should stand behind and support True the Vote in its quest, and to start investigating fraud in his or her state. Citizen Action.

This far left hoodlum disrupted the National Anthem at a tea party rally earlier this week in St. Louis. The goon marched through the crowd with his anti-Beck sign during the anthem and then positioned himself between the crowd and the US flag.
Donna added:
On October 27, the Tea Party Express rally in St. Louis begins with the National Anthem. A man protesting against the Tea Party makes his way between the audience and the American flag while waving his signs which mock Glenn Beck. He stations himself on a ledge in the fountain right in full view of Patriots saluting our nation’s flag. Some people have no class.
Disgraceful!

Brace Yourselves For The Post-Election Shock
From Rebellion:
Brace yourselves for the post-election shockfrom feed/http://lsrebellion.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default by Old RebelHow big is the economic tsunami headed our way? Check out these indicators, which are so obvious, even a government economist can see how bad it is.
Worse, as Pat Buchanan warns here, the political turmoil will only exacerbate the economic turmoil. The inflation heading our way will be as destructive as a giant wall of water flattening everything in its path. And it's deliberate -- it's the last resort the Fed has:
[I]f liberal Democrats are right and deficits are the correct Keynesian cure for recession, why have Obama deficits of $1.4 and $1.3 trillion failed so dismally? Paul Krugman says they are not large enough. Perhaps, but the country is about to end the experiment.
The Federal Reserve, having used and broken every tool in its toolbox, including doubling the money supply and setting interest rates at near zero, will now bet the farm on inflation, starting Nov. 3.
Both parties have lost the mandate of heaven, and neither knows if its economic philosophy even works anymore.
We are in uncharted waters. The country is up for grabs.
Add to this toxic mix the simple fact that we've hobbled ourselves with only two political parties that may as well be clones. Thus, our options in dealing with unprecedented circumstances are limited. The monolithic political system with DC perched on top has eliminated all choices that don't involve ceding even more power to a corrupt, wasteful, and self-serving central government.

The polls and pundits are all in alignment now.
The Republican Party is headed for a victory Tuesday to rival the biggest and best of those that the party has known in the lifetime of most Americans.
In 1938, the GOP won 72 seats in the House.
In 1946, Republicans swept both houses and presented Harry Truman with a "fighting 80th Congress" that contained three future presidents: John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon.
In 1966, Republicans picked up 47 House seats to set up the comeback of Nixon, who had led the party out of the wilderness of Goldwater's defeat.
In 1994, the Republican Revolution added 52 House seats and captured both chambers for the first time since Eisenhower's first term.
Looking back on those Republican triumphs, and forward to Tuesday's, what do these Republican off-year victories have in common?
In all four – 1938, 1946, 1966 and 1994 – the GOP won not because of what the party had accomplished or the hopes it had raised, but because Republicans were the only alternative on the ballot to a Democratic Party and president voters wished to punish.
The ultimate expose on the radical nature of our 44th president: "The Manchurian President: Barack Obama's Ties to Communists, Socialists and Other Anti-American Extremists." The best-seller as an audio book is also available.
By 1938, America had had its fill of FDR, as the Depression returned with a vengeance and his aristocratic arrogance became manifest in the crude attempt to purge Democratic senators and pack the Supreme Court with six new justices who'd rubber-stamp his New Deal.
In 1946, Truman was perceived to have been as naive as FDR in trusting "good old Joe" Stalin, who was imposing his murderous Bolshevik rule on 100 million Eastern Europeans and whose Maoist allies were waging war on America's ally in China. What our boys won on the battlefield, our diplomats had frittered away, the country believed.
In 1966, the nation was reacting viscerally to the stalemate in Vietnam, rising casualties, campus disorders, soaring crime and riots in Harlem and Watts, all seen as the legacy of LBJ's Great Society.
In 1994, it was gays in the military, Hillarycare and the public perception that Bill Clinton was more liberal than he had let on that cost Democrats both houses. The postelection spin that the nation had rallied to Newt Gingrich's "Contract with America" was pure propaganda.
Tuesday's election, too, will be no embrace of the GOP, but rather a repudiation of what Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have come to represent. All are seen as power-hungry politicians of an out-of-touch regime that is seizing control of private wealth and private lives as it fails in its duty to win our wars, balance our budgets and secure our borders.
Republicans will be the beneficiaries of this repudiation, as Republicans are, almost everywhere, the only alternative on the ballot, and because they are seen correctly as having opposed the Obama agenda with near-drill-team solidarity.
Every Republican in the Senate but Arlen Specter and the ladies from Maine voted against Obama's stimulus bill. Every Republican in the House, save eight, voted no on cap-and-trade. Every Republican on Capitol Hill voted no on Obamacare. More GOP senators opposed Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan than opposed any Supreme Court nominee in memory.
Tuesday, obstructionism reaps its reward.
On Tuesday, the nation, including millions of Obama voters, will come out to empower the Party of No, even as the nation voted in 2006 and 2008 to throw out that party. While many did respond positively to Obama's politics of hope and change in 2008, as they ousted the Republicans, the nation, after Tuesday, will have voted in three straight elections in four years to be rid of its ruling regime.
The United States is starting to look like the French Fourth Republic.

After France lost Indochina, began losing Algeria and was flipping from one premier and one party to another, the call went forth from an exasperated nation to Gen. DeGaulle to come and take charge of affairs.
Consider the critical issue facing America today – the budget and trade deficits, the soaring national debt, an unemployment near 10 percent for 14 straight months – and how neither party seems to have the cure.
While George Bush's tax cuts did not cause this, they did not prevent it. And if Republicans believe that his deficits did cause it, why have those Republicans not addressed the causes of those deficits – Bush's wars, Bush's tax cuts and Bush's social spending on No Child Left Behind and Medicare drug benefits?
Yet, if liberal Democrats are right and deficits are the correct Keynesian cure for recession, why have Obama deficits of $1.4 and $1.3 trillion failed so dismally? Paul Krugman says they are not large enough. Perhaps, but the country is about to end the experiment.

Told Ya!
From The New Ledger:

As I have written many times before, while the 2006 and 2008 elections were hailed by Democrats as the byproducts of the votes of a sober, educated, intelligent electorate, the 2010 election is being deplored as an exercise in mass idiocy.
John Kerry (natch) tries to have it both ways:
Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry unleashed a broadside Thursday against Republican “obstructionism,” saying the GOP and its talk-show allies have created a “period of know-nothingism” in the country.
With his party braced for defeats in the midterm elections, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee told the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce that a Republican machine — fueled by talk show hosts such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck — has undermined progress and misled the public into believing Democrats created the country’s current economic problems.
Kerry singled out attacks on an energy deal he was negotiating with Republicans, which fell apart amid criticism of an emissions-trading program. Some 20 Senate candidates are now opposing the proposed deal in their campaigns.
“It’s absurd. We’ve lost our minds,” said a clearly exasperated Kerry. “We’re in a period of know-nothingism in the country, where truth and science and facts don’t weigh in. It’s all short-order, lowest common denominator, cheap-seat politics.”
Yup. A mere two–and four–years ago, the American voter was hypersmart and well-informed, thus bringing about Democratic electoral victories. Now that Democrats are poised to get wiped out, however, the electorate have supposedly turned into an army of yammering morons. Heaven forbid that the likes of John Kerry are forced to conclude that the same hypersmart, well-educated American electorate that vaulted them to power in the past two election cycles has now, for perfectly intelligent reasons, turned on the Democrats. Better for Kerry and his party to comfort themselves with the belief that madness and stupidity have simply taken hold.
And people wonder why the Democrats are losing in 2010. And, I am sure, John Kerry still wonders why his winning and charming ways with the voters didn’t allow him to become President in 2004.

Arizona: 25% (So Far) Of Last Minute Voter Registration Requests Are Fraudulent
From Gateway Pundit:
AZ GOP Finds 1 of 4 Last Minute Voter Registration Requests Are Fraudulent!
Posted by Jim Hoft on Friday, October 29, 2010, 1:58 PM
The Arizona GOP has uncovered hundreds, if not thousands, of bogus voter registrations by the far left SEIU group Mi Familia Vota.

The AZ GOP reported:
Ballots being mailed illegally, forged ballot requests, felons and illegals registering to vote and pressure on county employees by ACORN like groups. Chicago? Nope. Yuma, Arizona.
The Arizona Republican Party has uncovered direct evidence that Mi Familia Vota, Border Action, and Faith.Hope.Vote! who have direct ties to SEIU are attempting to influence the elections in Yuma County through fraudulent means. In the last 48 hours before the Permanent Early Voter List (PEVL) registration deadline of Friday, October 22nd, these organizations submitted 1,328 PEVL requests and then pressured the Yuma Recorder’s Office to process them by Monday.
In reviewing all PEVL requests made through what appears to be canvassing efforts by Mi Familia Vota and submitted on Friday, October 22nd, 113 of the 615 PEVL requests processed and mailed early ballots appear to be forged. Investigations revealed that contrary to state election regulations, an untold number of PEVL requests were not signature verified against Motor Vehicle Records, and investigators found concrete instances of forgery among the processed PEVL requests.
The Arizona Republican Party investigations continue to uncover clear and direct violations of Arizona law and Secretary of State elections regulations. The AZGOP has an active and on-going investigation regarding the extent of election fraud in Yuma County while allegations of illegal activities that appear to be direct attempts for SEIU to steal the election for Grijalva continue to be reported to the investigators in Yuma.
The following findings have been made thus far:
8,000 new PEVL requests have been processed this year which may have been forged.
10,052 registered voters were on the PEVL as of Wednesday, October 20.
1,536 requests to be added to the PEVL were received by the Yuma Recorder on Thursday the 21st and Friday the 22nd.
376 of the 1536 requests (24%) were rejected for reasons ranging from requests from felons, illegal aliens, and those not registered to vote to incomplete forms and duplicate requests.
113 of a sampling of 615 PEVL requests (18%) by Mi Familia Vota appear to be forged, yet were sent early ballots.
1160 voters were added to the PEVL over the weekend and mailed ballots on Monday, October 26th. An untold number of which were not signature verified and may have been forged requests.
Mi Familia Vota and Border Action both used the State Seal of Arizona on their PEVL forms without obtaining permission from the State as required under Arizona law.
